India’s third-highest successful ODI chase came against England in Pune on January 15, 2017. England posted 350/7, leaving India with a target of 351. The hosts eventually reached 356/7 in 48.1 overs, completing a three-wicket victory with 11 balls remaining.

Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav were the architects of the chase, with both batters scoring centuries. After India were in a difficult position early in the innings, Kohli and Jadhav combined for a crucial 200-run partnership, shifting the momentum firmly in India’s favour. Their counter-attacking approach put India back on track before the lower order completed the chase.
