The Men in Blue who went all guns blazing in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2026. In a jam packed Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Suryakumar Yadav’s team created history as they smashed a record-breaking score of 255 in their 20 overs, batting first.
Sanju Samson was the star of the show, continuing his golden touch, as he scored 89 runs off just 46 balls. Apart from him, Abhishek Sharma (52 off 21 balls) and Ishan Kishan (54 off 25 balls), played their part brilliantly. Shivam Dube gave his side a much needed finishing touch, playing a potential match-winning knock, as he scored 26 runs in just eight balls. In the end, the target proved to be too much for the Kiwis as they were bundled out for 159. Indian team eventually became the first team ever to lift the T20 World Cup thrice.
