The 2023 edition of the ODI World Cup finished on Sunday, November 19, in Ahmedabad. Australia were declared winners for the sixth time after their six-wicket victory over hosts India at the colossal Narendra Modi Stadium. It was an emphatic victory for the Pat Cummins-led side. Chasing a modest 241 to win, Australia completed the target with seven overs to spare, thanks to Travis Head's 137 and Marnus Labuschagne's (58 not out) half-century, which boosted Australia from a worrisome 47/3 to turn the tables on Team India.

Earlier India was asked to bat first and on a difficult pitch to bat in Ahmedabad, they struggled to gather any momentum. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul scored fifties while skipper Rohit Sharma gave a flying start with 47 in 31 balls. Despite that, Team India could only post 240 runs on the board.

The Netherlands performed admirably in the ICC World Cup 2023. They had a very good time in the tournament as they managed two victories with one of those coming against South Africa. This was their second win over South Africa in an ICC event, as they had beaten them in the T20 World Cup last year.

They also defeated Bangladesh in the tournament. As a team that was eliminated in the league stage itself, the Netherlands got $ 100,000 as the group stage money and $80,000 for the two wins at $40,000 per win. Hence Netherlands won a total prize money of $180,000.
