3. Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma has never been counted as a white-ball pacer and had been plying his trade with the Test team for a number of years. However, ack of form, injury concerns and rising competition has put him out of contention for the national squad.

The 34-year-old has limited his domestic appearances as well and features in selective matches. Furthermore, he went unsold in the IPL 2022 auction. The key reason for his downfall was failing to grab the limited opportunities he got in the recent past.

Ishant played for the Delhi Capitals from 2019 to 2021 and while he did well to grab 13 wickets in 2019, he could secure only a solitary wicket in four matches in the subsequent seasons. However, with fresh energy, Ishant would look to fly high in the last leg of his career in 2023.
