2015 Season: Bottom

After reaching the finals in 2014, PBKS had high expectations for 2015, but it turned out to be a disaster. The team managed just 3 wins in 14 matches and finished at the bottom of the table.

Their powerful batting line-up underperformed. Glenn Maxwell, the star of 2014, had a poor season, scoring just 145 runs in 11 games. George Bailey led the side but was eventually dropped. The Indian core was weak, and domestic players failed to deliver match-winning performances. PBKS lost several close matches in the final overs, making it a season to forget.

2016 Season: Bottom

The 2016 season continued the decline. PBKS again finished last, this time with 4 wins in 14 matches. The team switched captains mid-season from David Miller to Murali Vijay.

Big names like Miller and Maxwell failed to fire consistently, and the bowling lacked sting, especially at the death, where they struggled to defend decent totals. Punjab never built any winning momentum, losing key matches early and failing to recover.
