IPL 2026: 3 teams that will lose lead sponsor following Dream11 ban
Let us take a look at three IPL teams that could lose Dream11 as a sponsor ahead of the next season.
The fantasy sports application Dream11 has come under intense scrutiny after the Parliament passed the Online Gaming Bill, which has already forced several gaming platforms to alter their payment models or shut down their betting services. Being one of the most prominent names in India’s fantasy gaming industry, Dream11 too has been impacted by the legislation, resulting in the loss of multiple sponsorship deals across sports.
Currently, Dream11 serves as a jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team, but with the BCCI now exploring other options, its long-term association with Indian cricket remains uncertain. The company also has a strong footprint in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where it has invested heavily in sponsorships across different franchises. With the new regulations in place, many of these partnerships are now under threat. Here, CricTracker lists down three IPL teams that could lose Dream11 as a sponsor ahead of the next season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) currently have Dream11 as their title sponsor. However, this partnership looks likely to end following the new gaming regulations. Owned by the Sun TV Network, SRH have been one of the consistent performers in the IPL, having lifted the trophy in 2016. Their home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, has seen plenty of iconic matches over the years. With Dream11’s future in deep waters, SRH may soon be on the lookout for a fresh sponsorship deal to replace their current partner ahead of the 2026 season of the cash-rich tournament.
