IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals' strongest predicted XI against Mumbai Indians
The Royals play their final league stage game at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
The Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 69 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 24.
The Royals come into the clash on the back of a seven-wicket win over the struggling Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansigh Stadium on Tuesday, May 19. They sit on 14 points from 13 games, and come into the clash knowing that a win will seal their playoffs spot.
If they win this crucial contest against MI, they will trump KKR and PBKS in the playoffs race, and in all likelyhood will be facing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the eliminator. If they lose against MI, they will have to depend on Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Here is the strongest predicted RR XI for Match 69 vs MI:
Top order: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Lhuan-dre Pretorius
RR’s dynamic opening pair of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal has been sensational for them this season. Both of them play an ultra-aggressive brand of cricket, especially in the powerplay overs.
Sooryavanshi has scored 579 runs at a strike rate of 236.32, whereas Jaiswal has scored 370 runs. The Mumbai batter will also lead the side in absence of their regular skipper Riyan Parag. Lhuan-dre Pretorius will come in at number 3, and has to deliver with the bat with the management backing him for the role.
