2. Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders and Chandrakant Pandit officially parted ways after IPL 2025, ending a three-year association that saw the franchise lift the 2024 title but also had a disappointing eighth-place finish in the 2025 season. With Pandit stepping down, KKR is now in search of a new head coach to lead its next phase. Abhishek Nayar, who has been closely associated with the franchise for years, is set to take up assistant coach duties, while mentor Dwayne Bravo continues in the support staff.
This situation opens up the possibility of David Warner stepping into the role. Warner, who has been part of the IPL since 2009, has an in-depth understanding of the league and franchise cricket. Over the years, KKR has invested in legendary names in their coaching setup, and Warner could be another strong personality to guide the team.
