Highest successful run chase in T20s: Punjab Kings - 265/4
The Punjab Kings in the 2026 season broke their own previous record of the highest ever successful chase in the T20 format, with a thrilling six-wicket win over the Delhi Capitals. Electing to bat, the Capitals scored a mammoth 264 for 2 in their 20 overs, with KL Rahul scoring an unbeaten 152 off just 67 balls, the highest score by an Indian batter in the IPL. He put on a mammoth stand of 220 off just 98 balls with Nitish Rana, who scored a 44-ball 91.
Chasing the daunting total, the Kings got off to a flyer with a 126-run opening stand off just 42 balls between Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, with the former scoring a 17-ball 43 and the latter scoring a brilliant 76 off just 26 balls. They lost a few wickets in between, but were led home by captain Shreyas Iyer, who finished unbeaten on 71 off 36 balls. Despite the big target, the Kings got home without breaking much of a sweat, reaching home with seven balls to spare and six wickets in hand.
