The much-awaited inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is upon us. Before the action kick-starts on the cricket field, all five franchises will gather together for the WPL 2023 auction. The marquee event will most likely be held on February 13 in Mumbai.

Many international quality stars who have made world cricket their happy hunting ground will feature at the player auction and the five franchises will be eager to sign them. However, the WPL auction will also witness certain uncapped players who have created a lot of buzz with their jaw-dropping performances and these cricketers might attract a lot of bids at the marquee event.

Here are five uncapped players on whom all franchises can bet big at auction:

Grace Scrivens took the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2023 by storm with her breathtaking performances. She put up an exhibition of her flamboyant stroke play and dismantled bowling attacks that came her way. Also, the 19-year-old strangled batters with her impeccable lines and lengths and provided her side with timely breakthroughs.

Scrivens featured in seven games in the marquee tournament and accumulated 293 runs at a strike rate of 129.07. She picked up nine scalps on the bowling front at a fantastic economy of 3.09. Courtesy of her outstanding displays, England’s Under-19 team reached the finals of the T20 carnival in South Africa.

Scrivens has been in a rich vein of form and has the potential to thrive in the Women’s Premier League. Her inclusion will provide balance to the side, and many franchises could ponder over adding Grace to their repertoire at the forthcoming player auction.
