After an emphatic win over Pakistan, Thailand also managed to beat UAE in the Women’s Asia Cup and are currently fifth in the table with four points from the same number of games. They are currently on the verge of making history as with a win over Malaysia, they can improve their standing in the league and go ahead of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Malaysia on the other hand is yet to win a match and suffered a massive defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the last match. Their batting hasn’t clicked in the tournament and that is one area that the team needs to work on. Against Sri Lanka, the team could manage to score only 33 while 41 against Bangladesh. Their bowling section has done reasonably well but against the in-form Thai batters, things can be difficult in the middle.

THA-W vs ML-W Probable Top Performers

Probable best batter

Natthakan Chantham:

With 100 runs to her name in four matches, Natthakan Chantham is the fourth leading run-scorer of the Women’s Asia Cup. Even though she could score only 12 in the previous match against UAE but her knock of 61 off 51 deliveries played a massive role to register a win over Pakistan. With the top-four finish still up for grabs, the 26-year-old will once again aim to lead the team with her bat.

Probable best bowler

Thipatcha Putthawong:

The 18-year-old Thipatcha Putthawong has been phenomenal in the tournament so far. The youngster has picked up six wickets in the tournament so far and the southpaw will definitely look to increase her tally as Malaysia’s batting line-up has failed them multiple times in the tournament.
