Bangladesh skipper Litton Das was frank in admitting that Nahid Rana was expected to deliver much more than he actually did on his T20I debut which came in the second T20I of the three-match series between UAE and Bangladesh at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday, May 19. Nahid ended up conceding 50 runs in his four-over quota though he picked up a couple of wickets.

Litton hoped for a better performance in the series decider to be played on Wednesday, May 21.

"We expected more from him. As a cricketer, you have both good and bad days. We'll sit down, talk things through, and come back stronger tomorrow," stated Litton, as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Litton also spoke on the importance of being more mindful while executing bowling plans with dew setting in during the second-half of games played in similar conditions. However, he was pleased with the batting performance of his side.

"When you play on a certain kind of ground - which is small and where dew becomes a big factor - you have to be calculative with your bowling. You need different plans for different batters. Every loss hurts. But still, we batted really well on this wicket. The pitch was really good. I feel that when they batted, they had a slight advantage because of the dew. Still, we gave our best. We made some mistakes in the field and during the middle overs while bowling," added Litton.

UAE scripted a historic two-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the second T20I. Tanzid Hasan had top-scored for the visitors with 59 (33), who ended up posting 205/5 in their share of 20 overs. Litton contributed with a 32-ball 40. A terrific 82 off 42 from the UAE skipper, Muhammad Waseem, paved the way for a win for the ages. UAE got over the line with a ball to spare. The series is currently level at 1-1.
