Just two games remained in yet another enthralling edition of the Indian Premier League and only three teams have a chance of lifting the title on Sunday in Chennai. Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad faced off today in the Qualifier 2 in Chennai. Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first with the hope to utilise the dew factor in the second innings.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 81/3 after 7 overs - First Strategic Time Out

However, once again the Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their first wicket in the first over itself as Trent Boult sent back the dangerous Abhishek Sharma. Rahul Tripathi came to the crease and was playing his shots without much difficulty.

The right-handed batter scored a quick-fire 37 from 14 deliveries before Trent Boult dismissed him and the New Zealand pacer removed Aiden Markram to worsen the situation for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Heinrich Klaasen joined Travis Head at the crease in a bid to stabilise the innings after the quick loss of wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 120/6 after 14 overs - Second Strategic Time Out

The duo were great in ticking the scoreboard along and were looking set for a total of over 200. But they had to deal with another blow as Sandeep Sharma dismissed Travis Head. Klaasen kept the boundaries flowing and with him at the crease, the franchise was hopeful of reaching a good total.

However, Nitish Reddy couldn’t muster much as his poor knock was ended by Avesh Khan in the 13th over. After that dismissal, Abdul Samad came to the crease and lost his wicket after facing the first delivery as his stumps got rattled.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 183/6 after 20 overs

The Sunrisers Hyderabad got their impact player as they only had bowlers left. Shahbaz Ahmed came to the crease and gave good support to Heinrich Klaasen. The South African wicket-keeper batter was able to complete his fifty and his knock was crucial in ensuring a good total for the side. However, Sandeep Sharma got the wicket of Klaasen in the 19th over and that halted their innings a little bit. During the final over, Avesh Khan scalped the wicket of Shahbaz and in the end, Hyderabad managed to score 175/9 in their 20 overs.
