The former Rajasthan Royals (RR) co-owner Raj Kundra is set to hold a press conference on June 2, during which he plans to expose alleged irregularities within the franchise. The 2008 IPL (Indian Premier League) champions have had a history of controversies, and this revelation could further disrupt their reputation.

Kundra, who was banned from all cricket-related activities after RR’s two-year suspension in 2016–2017, took to social media to share that he would be releasing evidence of serious financial misconduct. He admitted that the documents will shed light on hidden offshore transactions and manipulation in shareholder dealings.

"I will soon be releasing documented evidence exposing serious financial misconduct through offshore structures and hidden transactions involving a key promoter of the Rajasthan Royals. This includes deceit and manipulation in many shareholder dealings!" wrote Kundra on his 'X' handle.

The exact details of the press conference are yet to be officially announced, and reports indicate that it will be held on June 2. Kundra’s revelations are expected to bring new trouble to the RR franchise and could significantly damage the franchise’s standing in the IPL.

Notably, Raj Kundra had previously sold his stake in the franchise after being found guilty of betting during the IPL and received a punishment similar to Meiyappan, as noted by the Lodha Committee. They had already been under scrutiny for spot-fixing allegations in 2013, a scandal that resulted in bans for S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila, and Ankeet Chavan.

Recently, during the IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) raised new match-fixing allegations against the RR franchise. However, Deep Roy, a senior official from the team, denied all such claims. RR, in IPL 2025, ended up in the ninth position in the points table after the league matches concluded with eight points.
