The Netherlands registered a seven-wicket win over Namibia in Delhi to clinch their first victory of the T20 World Cup campaign. After opting to field, the Dutch restricted Namibia to 156 for 8. Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton top-scored with 42, while skipper Gerhard Erasmus and JJ Smit provided a late finish, but regular wickets prevented Namibia from pushing beyond par. Bas de Leede was the standout with the ball, picking up two wickets.

In reply, the Netherlands made light work of the chase on a good batting surface. Michael Levitt added 28 before falling in the powerplay. From there, de Leede anchored the innings with an unbeaten 72. He found solid support from Colin Ackermann in a match-winning partnership, before Scott Edwards finished things off in style. The chase was wrapped up with 12 balls to spare.

Top Batting performance of the match - Bas de Leede

Bas de Leede's unbeaten fifty proved to be too much for Namibia as the Netherlands recorded their first win of the competition. The right-handed batter smashed 72 off 48 deliveries and guided the team home with seven wickets and 12 balls to spare. Leede laced his knock with five boundaries and four sixes, and struck at 150.00.

Top Bowling performance of the match - Logan van Beek

Logan van Beek was the wrecker in chief with the ball in hand. He finished with figures of 2/13 in three overs at an economy rate of 4.33. The pacer's victims included key batters Jan Frylinck and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, playing a crucial role in his team's victory. Beek made sure the Namibian batters never got the chance to get on top and dictate the terms.
