Video of the Day: T20 World Cup 2026 - Spectator grabs stunning catch in stands during Pakistan vs Namibia clash
The instance came in the ninth over of Pakistan’s innings.
Pakistan and Namibia locked horns in match 35 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The show-stopping moment came when a spectator flaunted his fielding skills at the Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo.
Namibia spinner Willem Myburgh tossed one delivery up, and Sahibzada Farhan made him pay twice in a row. In the ninth over of Pakistan’s innings, the Namibian spinner floated one full on middle and the Pakistani opener got low before slog-sweeping it high over deep mid-wicket.
The ball sailed comfortably into the stands, where the ball went straight into the crowd, where a spectator completed a spectacular catch.
The very next delivery, too, had the same fate as Farhan again hit back-to-back sixes. The second was another powerful slog sweep over deep mid-wicket. It was a clinical display of power-hitting by the Pakistan opener, as he scored a century in just 58 balls. His unbeaten 100-run knock included 11 fours and four sixes. Pakistan put on a daunting score of 199 on the board, with the help of Farhan's century and handy cameos from Salman Ali Agha(38 off 23 balls), and Shadab Khan (36 in 22 balls).
