WATCH: Hardik Pandya gives flying kiss to Mahieka Sharma after blistering fifty in IND vs ZIM, fiancé's reaction can't be missed
Hardik reached his fifty off just 23 balls.
Hardik Pandya looked in blazing touch with the bat as he guided India to a massive total of 256-4 against Zimbabwe in their Super Eights clash of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Hardik smashed a six off the last delivery of the innings, which also got him to his half-century off just 23.
After reaching the landmark and propelling India to a record total, Hardik waved a flying kiss to his fiancée Mahieka Sharma, who was cheering for the all-rounder from the stands at Chepauk. Mahieka's reaction to Hardik's hard-hitting strokes to ensure a strong finish was epic, and she was in awe of the Baroda cricketer's striking abilities, like millions of Indian fans on Thursday night.

Hardik's excellent outing against the Chevrons did not end there, as during the second innings, he bowled a decisive spell of three overs, giving away just 21 runs. The Choryasi-born ultimately was declared the Player of the Match for his dominant display with the bat. Not able to complete his full quota of four overs, Hardik hit the ground after the match once again and followed his rhythm to deliver an over with the support staff around.
India's SF qualification scenario after IND vs ZIM match
"Pretty happy. It sounds like a 23-ball fifty but I had to reassess. I was trying too hard but at the middle I realised I was trying to hit the ball too hard. Then I realized I could time the ball as well. So I did that. We were all were keeping an eye on the other game. Now it's about keeping our skillset. Now we just want to put our best foot forward," Hardik said at the post-match presentation.
Once that [SA-WI] was over, we focused on this game. [Bowling] Pretty good. I like bowling with the new ball. God has been kind. I can ball the inswing and outswing. So, pretty satisfied. I still have to bowl one over to bowl, which I will now," the star all-rounder added.
