Punjab Kings' (PBKS) co-owner Preity Zinta was seen breathing a huge sigh of relief after skipper Shreyas Iyer survived a close leg-before wicket (LBW) appeal against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 40 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh, on Tuesday, April 28.

The incident happened on the third ball of the ninth over, which was also the first delivery that Iyer faced. The ball struck his pads, and Yash Raj Punja made a huge shout at the umpire, asking for an LBW dismissal. However, the umpire remained unmoved. RR were confident and eventually opted for one of their Decision Review System (DRS) calls, although the television replay was in favour of the original verdict. An animated Zinta was seen relieved after the in-form Shreyas Iyer survived a golden duck.
