India Women won their 12th consecutive ODI match by defeating Pakistan Women in Match No. 6 of the Women’s World Cup 2025 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on Sunday, October 5. Pakistan captain Fatima Sana won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, India posted a total of 247/10 in 50 overs. Harleen Deol top-scored with 46 runs, while wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh made an unbeaten 35 off 20 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues (32), Pratika Rawal (31), and other contributors chipped in with valuable runs to set a competitive target.
From the Pakistan bowling attack, Diana Baig took 4/69, while Sadia Iqbal (2/47) and captain Fatima Sana (2/38) applied pressure to prevent India from crossing the 250-run mark.
Chasing 248, Pakistan lost both openers cheaply, with Muneeba Ali scoring two and Sadaf Shamas six. Sidra Amin and Natalia Pervaiz offered some resistance, putting together a 69-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Amin scored a resilient 81 riding her luck as she was dropped thrice, while Pervaiz contributed 33. However, no other batter could make a significant impact.
Indian bowlers ensured Pakistan did not settle, with Kranti Gaud (3/20), Sneh Rana (2/38), and Deepti Sharma (3/45) sharing the wickets. The victory gave India two more points in the World Cup standings, moving them to the top of the table, while Pakistan Women remained in sixth position.

Indian No. 3 batter Harleen Deol top-scored in the innings, scoring 46 runs off 65 balls, including four boundaries and a six. Her aggressive approach provided a platform for the middle and lower-order batters to build a competitive total against their arch-rivals.

The right-arm pacer Kranti Gaud wreaked havoc on the Pakistan batting line-up, dismissing key batters Sadaf Shamas, Aliya Riaz, and Natalia Pervaiz. She finished with impressive figures of 3/20 in her 10-over spell, including three maidens, taking India close to another convincing victory.

The right-arm spinner Sneh Rana played a crucial role in India’s unbeaten streak, picking up important wickets of Sidra Amin and Sidra Nawaz. She finished with impressive figures of 2/38 from her eight overs, helping India secure another victory over Pakistan.
