Rajasthan Royals (RR) host the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match No. 64 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday, May 19.

The Royals come off a five-wicket loss to the Delhi Capitals on May 17. They have lost four of their last five games, with the last three coming in succession. They will need to get their campaign back on track, and with 12 points in 12 games and two games remaining, they sit in a precarious position. They will need wins in their final two games to make a push for the playoffs. They return to Jaipur for their final home game of the season, a venue where they are yet to win a match.

The Super Giants, on the other hand, have been eliminated from IPL 2026. They come into this clash off the back of a stunning seven-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings on May 15, with Mitchell Marsh scoring a blistering 38-ball 90. With eight points from 12 matches, they find themselves at the bottom of the table, and with two matches remaining, they will be hoping to finish their season on a high.

The two teams are meeting for the second time in 2026. They met at the Ekana Stadium on April 22, when Riyan Parag's men emerged victorious. Being put into bat, the Royals managed a total of 159/6 courtesy of Ravindra Jadeja's 29-ball 43 after a rare top-order failure. They successfully defended the total, bowling the Super Giants out for 119, winning by 40 runs.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur: Pitch Report

The Sawai Mansing Stadium has a reputation for being a venue where batters thrive. Three games have been played in Jaipur in IPL 2026, and all three have seen the team batting first post totals in excess of 220. While two of these instances saw the targets chased down, the third saw the Gujarat Titans' bowling attack defend it against the hosts.

As exemplified by that game, the wicket is conducive to hit-the-deck bowling due to variable bounce off the spongy black-soil surface. Despite this, the ball comes onto the bat quite comfortably. The square boundaries are comparatively longer than the straight boundaries, making scoring runs down the ground relatively easier.
