Mitchell Starc was all over the West Indies side on Day 3 of the third and final Test match at Sabina Park. The left-arm seamer took the fastest five-wicket haul from the start of an innings in Test history, helping Australia win the Pink-Ball affair by a comfortable margin of 176 runs.
Australia were bowled out for 121 in 37 overs in their second innings, with Cameron Green top-scoring with a 66-ball 42. The West Indies bowlers used the favourable conditions to their advantage and dismissed Australia for 121. The home side needed 204 runs to win in the fourth innings. However, they got off to a disastrous start as Starc took three wickets in the opening over, including one off the first delivery. His second over was another maiden, and the West Indies had lost two more wickets by the time he started his third.
Starc got the better of Mikyle Louis and Shai Hope off the first and third balls of his third over. The wicket of Louis was his 400th in Test cricket, helping him join an illustrious list of Australian cricketers. In just 2.3 overs, Starc had registered a five-for, the quickest in Test history. In his following over, Sam Konstas dropped a tough chance to dismiss Alzarri.

At 26/9, the West Indies camp would have been worried about getting bowled out for the lowest total in international cricket. They lost three wickets at the score of 26. Jayden Seales was the last West Indies cricketer to be dismissed, and his wicket was fittingly taken by Starc, who emerged as the Player of the Match as well as Player of the Series. Starc finished with mind-boggling figures of 6/9 in 7.3 overs.
