Cricketing Trends on Social Media Today
Here's how the cricketers spent their day on social media platforms.
Former India all-rounder Pragyan Ojha celebrated his 34th birthday today on September 5th and he was wished by many members of the cricket fraternity. The left-arm spinner scalped 113 wickets in 24 Tests at an economy of 2.68, including 7 five-wicket hauls. With the white ball, Ojha plucked 21 ODI wickets and 10 T20I scalps.
On the account of Teacher’s Day, several players also paid tributes to their coaches for shaping up their career and journey. Wishes also poured in for England veteran Ian Bell, who announced his retirement from professional cricket through Twitter. Bell, who was lauded for his exemplary cover drive, bid adieu to the sport and thanked everyone who has been a part of his cricket journey.
Meanwhile, as the much-awaited IPL 2020 is nearing its commencement, many franchises have been sharing training pictures and videos. Many sides have also been sharing their new jersey for the upcoming season.
Delhi Capitals also introduced their deconstructed cricket jersey for IPL 2020 through their official Twitter handle. They shared a picture of Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant while flaunting their new kit. As compared to their previous 2019 edition kit, the jersey is of a lighter shade with the tiger emblem in the background.
