The current situation in India is not ideal as the second wave of coronavirus has created havoc in the country. India is battling tough times and the country reported over 3.86 lakh new Covid-19 cases and more than 3,000 death on Friday, April 30. The positive thing here is that the various countries across the globe have shown solidarity with the Asian nation and are trying to send medical and financial help in whatever way they can.

The cricketers are also not behind as they are also coming forward to help India fight the tough battle. A few days back, Pat Cummins, Brett Lee, and the franchise Rajasthan Royals extended their support to India by donating for the noble cause. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s ace spinner Rashid Khan has also shown solidarity with the Indian citizens.

Rashid took to his Instagram handle to post a video where a handful of professionals from Afghanistan can be seen sending strength, love, and prayers to the Indian citizens. The video delivered the message that Afghanistan is standing with India in this tough time.

The spinner posted the video with the caption, “Everyone back home in Afghanistan is with you INDIA in this tough time. Please, everyone, stay safe stay home maintain social distance, and Wear Mask plz Folded hands #WeAreWithYouIndia,”

Rashid Khan shining despite SRH’s struggle in IPL 2021

Rashid Khan is currently in India as he is plying his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rashid has again managed to impress the who’s who of the cricket fraternity with his spectacular performance with the ball.

The leg-spinner is the backbone of Hyderbad’s bowling line-up as in six matches he has scalped a stunning nine wickets at an economy rate of 6.16 and an average of 16.44. However, the 2016-champion Sunrisers Hyderbad are experiencing a torrid run in the league.

The franchise is placed at the bottom of the points table as they have won just one game out of the six played. Their only victory came against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Adding to the misery, the team’s two celebrated pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan suffered an injury during the games and aren’t fit to participate in the tournament.
