Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) will take on Trichy Grand Cholas (TGC) in the 21st match of the TNPL 2025 on Monday, June 23, at the Indian Cement Company Ground in Tirunelveli. The Super Gillies have won all five games so far and are in first place. The Grand Cholas have managed just one win in four outings and are in second-last position.

The Super Gillies faced the Salem Spartans in their previous match and elected to bowl after winning the toss. The Spartans scored 160 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Prem Kumar was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for 19 runs in four overs. K Aashiq and Narayan Jagadeesan scored a half-century each for the Super Gillies. They helped the team chase down the target of 161 runs in 16.3 overs with six wickets in hand. Prem won the Player of the Match award for his bowling performance.

The Grand Cholas were up against the Lyca Kovai Kings in their last outing. The Kovai Kings won the toss and elected to bowl. The Grand Cholas made 168 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.  R Rajkumar was the highest scorer for the team and remained unbeaten on 58 runs off 24 deliveries. The Kovai Kings scored 154 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by 14 runs. V Athisayaraj Davidson was the most successful bowler for the Grand Cholas and took three wickets for 26 runs in four overs.
