New Zealand (NZ) will be up against Bangladesh (BAN) in the 11th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 13. New Zealand have played two games in the tournament where they have won both and are sitting at the top of the table, while Bangladesh, having played two games, have won and lost a match each and is placed sixth in the points table.

New Zealand squared off against the Netherlands in their last match, where the Netherlands won the toss and elected to field. New Zealand started brilliantly, with their opening stand lasting for 67 runs and then the second wicket partnership adding on another 77 runs. Contributions from the entire batting order meant they posted a total of 322 runs, which proved to be a little too for the Dutch side. They started slow, and only Colin Ackerman could make a significant score. They were bundled out for just 223, hence losing the match by 99 runs.

Bangladesh played against England in their last match, where Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field. As expected, England was off to a rollicking start as they dismantled the Bangladeshi bowling line-up. With half-centuries from Bairstow and Root while a sensational century from Dawid Malan, England made a huge total of 364 runs. In reply, Bangladesh could never get the start they were looking for as they kept losing wickets one after the other. Eventually, they lost the match by a good margin of 137 runs.

Pitch Report

MA Chidambaram Stadium offers a pitch that is going to be helpful to the batters. Pacers may enjoy some seam and swing at the start and reverse swing towards the end. Slower deliveries can be really deceptive when used properly and trouble the batters. Teams winning the toss choose to bowl, with the average first innings score being 231.

Rachin Ravindra NZ | ALL

Rachin has been going bonkers in the World Cup so far, scoring a century and a half-century with the bat while taking away two wickets with the ball. You need not look elsewhere for the captain of your side.

8.5
C

Devon Conway NZ | BAT

Conway has looked in sensational touch as well in this tournament. He has amassed 184 runs at a strike rate of 114.29 in just two matches.

6.5
C

Mitchell Santner NZ | ALL

Santner has been the go-to bowler for the Kiwis, with the conditions helping him as well. He has scalped seven wickets already and can be another fine choice for captaincy roles.

7.5

Matt Henry NZ | BOWL

Henry has stepped up for the Kiwis when Boult has been rather silent with the wickets. He has picked up six wickets in two games and is a must-have pick for you.

9

Kane Williamson NZ | BAT

Williamson missed out on both the matches his team has played so far in the tournament. He will make a comeback with this match and is expected to score big.

9

Shakib Al Hasan BAN | ALL

Although Shakib has not done too great with the bat so far, he has undoubtedly made up for it with the ball and has scalped four wickets already in two matches.

8

Mehidy Hasan Miraz BAN | ALL

Miraz has been doing a good job of contributing from both ends. He has scored 65 runs and has taken away three wickets in two matches so far.

7.5

Shoriful Islam BAN | BOWL

Shoriful has been bowling beautifully, leading the wickets chart for his side. He has scalped five wickets at an economy of 6.67 in two games.

7

Litton Das BAN | WK

Liton was sublime in the last match, scoring 76 runs and looking to be in great touch once again. He could be a great choice under budget for your team.

Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team

7.5

Mark Chapman

NZ | ALL

Chapman has not got a chance to contribute too much to the team so far. He can be left out of your team.

8.5

Tanzid Hasan

BAN | BAT

Tanzid has played both matches for his team but has been able to score just six runs from them so far. He can be neglected from your fantasy team.
