Zimbabwe (ZIM) will face South Africa (SA) in the first match of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series on Monday, July 14, at the Harare Sports Club. Rassie van der Dussen will lead the Proteas in the absence of Aiden Markram. Markram, along with Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, David Miller, Ryan Rickelton, Kagiso Rabada, and Tristan Stubbs, has been rested for this series.  

Shukri Conrad, who was appointed the head coach of the Test team, has taken over as the head coach across formats. Four uncapped players, Corbin Bosch, Rubin Hermann, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, and Senuran Muthusamy, have been picked in the squad.

Sikandar Raza, who missed the two-match Test series against the Proteas, is back to lead the squad in the tri-series. Zimbabwe lost both the Test matches but would be hoping for a positive outing in the series.

Zimbabwe and South Africa have played a total of six T20I matches against each other. South Africa has won five out of these, while one match ended in a no result.
