The Pakistan men’s team is currently up against England for the limited-overs series. They are on their tour to England and things have not been going in their favour certainly. Pakistan have already suffered a 0-3 whitewash in the ODIs against the home side and would be up in the T20I series from July 16, Friday. In the same light, former seamer Aaqib Javed said that the current T20I team isn’t a perfect one and has several flaws.

Javed added that he sees more of wrestlers in the Pakistan T20I side than cricketers. It has to be noted that Javed has worked with the U-19 team of Pakistan as a head and has also given his services as bowling coach of the senior team in the past. The former cricketer slammed the selectors alongside the team management for having no proper plans and policies.

The former cricketer also argued the position of Sohaib Maqsood in the squad and said that he has simply been roped in the T20I side on the basis of his PSL performance without confirming his positions. According to him, there are several cricketers in the current tea, whose fitness is in question.

Pakistan don’t know what they are doing or what is their direction, reckons Aaqib Javed

“They don’t know what they are doing or what is their direction. I see more wrestlers than players in the T20 team. There are question marks over the fitness of Sharjeel Khan, Azam Khan, Sohaib Maqsood for international level,” said Aaqib Javed on the Geo news channel.

Javed stated that the England team have proper plans for white-ball cricket which has brought them much success. On the contrary, Pakistan are moving without any proper plans as they have similar players for one position which is creating a lot of confusion already.

“If you look at the team they have several players of similar nature or for one position. Is this the way to move forward,” he added.

Pakistan would be up against England for three T20Is which will take place on 16th, 18th, and 20th July respectively.
