In the recent past, the communication gap between the BCCI and Virat Kohli has become an absolute commotion. While Sourav Ganguly, who happens to be the BCCI president had revealed that he had requested the 33-year-old not to quit the T20I captaincy, the latter said otherwise.

In a recent press conference, The batting maestro went on to say that he had no communication regarding the matter. While several reports suggested that the BCCI was going to address the issue, there haven’t been any further statements against the red-ball skipper. This managed to impress the former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, he spoke about how the board was sensible to have kept this matter under wraps. However, the former Pakistan captain felt the board surely did have a meeting over the entire scenario but managed to keep it internally. He went on to say that the main objective is to win matches and represent their nation.

It’s a sensitive topic and it would have been naïve if there were exchange of words: Salman Butt

“It’s a sensitive topic and it would have been naïve if there were exchange of words over the matter to the board would have sent a show-cause notice. That is not the way. Team in on a tour. The main objective is to play cricket and win matches and play for the country,” said Salman Butt.

“I think they have been sensible about it, all of them. And they should keep it under wraps. Better not to give media half-volleys or full tosses or else you will be hit for boundaries or sixes. Obviously, they have had a discussion about it, but it has obviously been all internal. And that is the way to go,” he added.

Thus, with this analogy, the 37-year-old tried to explain the fact that revealing everything externally would have created a ruckus. Earlier, when asked about Kohli’s statements, the former Indian captain said that they will deal with it, and refused to make any statements regarding the same.
