Indian fans who are known for being among the most passionate followers of the game were humiliated last night when the news appeared that the Australian team bus was attacked with stones after the conclusion of the 2nd T20I at Guwahati. Soon after the conclusion of the match Aussie opener Aaron Finch tweeted a picture of the shattered glass of the team bus and expressed his shock at the turn of events.

The authorities, the media, the state association and the cops swung into action. Assam CM asked the DGP to look into the matter and arrest those involved in it, the police also arrested a couple of youngsters this morning as a part of the investigation. But there is another report emerging that an analysis of the bus by the bus authorities has revealed that the incident might have happened because of air pressure.

Time8.in a website that specifically covers everything that happens in the North Eastern part of the country reported that the Commissioner of Police, Guwahati said that stones that hit the window might have slipped from the tyres of the bus. While Cricket Australia is certain that it was an attack when they were travelling back from the stadium to the team hotel. Fortunately, no player or member of the Aussie support staff were injured since the seat adjacent was vacant.

They also managed to get into the bus with a registration number AS01 HC 9567 after the window was repaired. There was shattered glass still inside scattered on the floor.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricketers have turned up to social media to condemn such a shameful act. The likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma tweeted and so did the CM of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal and the Sports Minister of India, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

the Indian fans, on the other hand, have been apologising to the visiting players, most comments of Aaron Finch’s tweet were from the followers assuring him that it was a one-off incident and Assam is not known for such hostility.
