Preview:

Hong Kong set to tour Malaysia for a 5-match T20I series referred as Interport T20I series starting on Thursday at the Kinrara Academy Oval. The actual series was scheduled at the start of February with Hong Kong being the hosts. However, the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in China spread into Hong Kong which caused the cancellation of the series. But both the cricket boards came together quickly to take a decision of playing the series in Malaysia. The visiting team Hong Kong last played T20Is during the ICC T20 CWC qualifiers where they narrowly missed out a spot for the main event.

Weather Condition/Report:

The Kinrara Oval is likely to be under clouds at the start of the match but the rain is unlikely to affect the match.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Kinrara Academy Oval produced decent scoring tracks during the series between Malaysia and Vanuatu. The chasing teams struggled in the series as the pitch gets slower as the game progresses. We are likely to see better tracks in this series with most of the matches will be played under the lights including the first T20I.

Average first innings score: 165 (Last 5 T20I matches)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 1, Lost – 4
