#9 Siddarth Kaul
Punjab pacer Siddarth Kaul rose to prominence with his performance for the India U19 team in the World Cup of 2008 where Virat Kohli’s team won the title. He has been doing well in domestic cricket for his side and was rewarded with an IPL contract first by Kolkata Knight Riders but couldn’t break into the team, was picked by Delhi Daredevils who featured him in 6 and 5 matches respectively in 2013 and 2014.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad obtained his services in 2016 but gave him a game only in the recently concluded season. Kaul bowled the knuckleball, got the yorkers going and varied his pace to deceive the batsmen. By the end of the tournament, though SRH couldn’t advance further than the playoffs, he had picked 16 wickets in 10 matches and had become David Warner’s trusted death bowler. This experience will certainly add a lot of value to the 27-year-old’s career.
