4. Trent Boult
Well, Gautam Gambhir may not find Ishant’s price tag of Rs.2 crores for just bowling four overs per match justifiable, but his Kiwi speedster Rs.6 crores were not much impressive either. Boult was impressive for Sunrisers’ Hyderabad in his debut season. But last year, Bangladeshi sensation took his place and he eventually was released by the Sunrisers. KKR bought him with a lot of hope, which remains shattered in the field now.
Though his figures may not be as bad as Sharma, but he has terribly under-performed this season. In 5 matches, he has picked up only four wickets conceding 186 runs. In addition to it, he has leaked runs at an economy of over 9 runs per over. He lost his place to the Australian pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile because of his poor form, as KKR’s team management will be furious with the decision they made on the auction table a few months ago.
