Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are enjoying their comeback season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they are currently sitting pretty at the top of the points table. The 13-run victory over Delhi Daredevils (DD) has given them a sniff into the playoffs. The team is in a good space with one of the best captains MS Dhoni leading them and even enjoy each other’s mistakes off the field. Similarly, everyone was left in splits after Ambati Rayudu was run-out after a hilarious mix-up with Dhoni in the last over of the innings last night.

Both Rayudu and Dhoni, had pummeled the bowling attack of DD and had taken the total of their team past 200. The Hyderabad cricketer is in sizzling form this season and there are also reports that he will come back into the Indian team for the upcoming England tour. Despite coming out to bat in the middle order,  Rayudu has scored 41 runs before getting run-out and strengthened his hold on the Orange cap for this season.

Comical moment

Trent Boult was entrusted with the responsibility of bowling the final over and MS Dhoni had slammed him for 10 runs in 2 deliveries. But the bowler came back well on the fifth ball by bowling a well-directed bouncer to the man-in-form. Dhoni missed the pull and remained unmoved not knowing that Ambati Rayudu was trying to steal a run. By the time he realised, he had reached towards the striker’s end and had to again run back to save his wicket.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant sensed an opportunity and threw the ball towards the bowler and Boult didn’t make any mistake by disturbing the furniture. Rayudu was run-out even as he alone completed two runs almost. His teammates were left in splits after the incident and even he smiled while returning to the dug-out.
