IPL 2019: Scenarios for all teams ahead of the final day of league matches
Here are the scenarios for all the six teams to whom it matters ahead of the last day of the league stage:
Clash for the top two positions
Mumbai Indians
For Mumbai Indians to finish in the top two, they would need to defeat the Kolkata Knight Riders. Even yet another win in the Super Over would do the job for the Mumbai franchise who are already with an NRR highest than that of CSK and DC.
Delhi Capitals
The Delhi Capitals, who will be making their first playoff appearance in seven seasons, need at least one game result on the final day to go in their way for a top-two finish. They would be hoping for an MI defeat against the Knight Riders in the night game. However, if CSK loses to the Kings XI Punjab by 42+ runs or with 33+ balls to spare, the Delhi Capitals will be sure of finishing ahead of CSK due to the NRR.
