4) Punjab Kings – Jitesh Sharma
Jitesh Sharma has played every single game for Punjab Kings, except for the first two games. The uncapped Indian wicket-keeper batter has not got much of an opportunity to showcase his talent, given the strong batting order of the Punjab franchise. However, he has grabbed the attention of quite a few people, with his cameos from the lower middle order.
In fact, Punjab Kings have backed Jitesh Sharma over Shah Rukh Khan to play the finisher’s role this season. Mayank Agarwal has backed the youngster ever since his IPL debut against the Chennai Super Kings. He smashed a quickfire knock of 30 runs off just 15 balls against Mumbai Indians, which includes two boundaries and two maximums.
Jitesh Sharma has played a couple of handy knocks so far, and there is no doubt that he remains a threat from the lower middle order. As the tournament enters its final stages, the uncapped Indian batter will get quite a few chances to prove his worth.
