Nitish Rana is one player who has bags of potential but has been unable to perform on a consistent basis. The left-handed batter got off to a poor start in the IPL, underperforming in the initial few matches. However, the KKR management backed their middle-order batter which has reaped a good reward for the franchise.

The cricketer from Delhi scored an unbeaten knock of 48 runs against Rajasthan Royals to take his side past the finishing line. Moreover, he has two half-centuries in his last five outings. The former Mumbai Indians batter will look to build on this form, and help his side have a chance of making it to the playoffs. Kolkata have claimed four wins from their ten outings, and every game from now on is like a cup final for them.

Against Delhi Capitals, he was the top run-getter for his side, scoring 57 runs off just 34 balls, to help KKR post a fighting total on the board. The left-handed batter brought up his first half-century of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad, scoring 54 runs off just 36 balls.
