Young Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav is having a great time in international cricket. He has had a rapid rise at the highest level in the few months. It was not long enough when many reckoned that the Kanpur lad will have to wait for a long time before making it to the national side. And now, after a couple of very good series outings, he has cemented his place in the national side limited overs setup.

Kuldeep forms a formidable duo with leggie Yuzvendra Chahal. The two wrist spinners have been hunting in pair for the Indian team. Earlier in 2018, the two players scalped 33 wickets among them during the ODI series against South Africa. Currently, they have had a great start to their tour of England. They are expected to play a big role in the ODI series against the star-studded English side.

Needless to concede, the Kuldeep and Chahal share great camaraderie between them and love bowling in tandem with one another. Recently, they even appeared in a web show together. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen in the recent episode of web series, “What the Duck!” hosted by Vikram Sathaye. In the show, both players spoke at length about how their journeys have been in the international cricket. Both players made some very interesting revelations.

Aussies sledge Kuldeep

Among those was one that Kuldeep Yadav made about the Australian team sledging him. Kuldeep Yadav had made his Test debut against Australia in the Dharamsala Test last season. He had made an immediate impact with a four wicket haul. Kuldeep Yadav recalled that when he arrived to bat in the game, the Australian skipper Steve Smith asked his pacer Pat Cummins to break the ribs of Kuldeep.

“Bowl in his ribs, so that he can’t bowl wrong ones, make his ribs hurt,” Steve Smith apparently had told Pat Cummins.

Well, Kuldeep managed to survive the short balls and ended up scoring 10. He was eventually dismissed by Nathan Lyon. Team India went on to win the Test and also the series with a margin of 2-1.
