Hardik Pandya’s glittering career has turned upside down completely for his misogynist comments on the talk show Koffee with Karan. Along with him, even KL Rahul has been suspended pending inquiry as the duo has been called back from Australia and will also miss the upcoming New Zealand tour. Meanwhile, even the Mumbai Police has taken a sly dig at Hardik now with a ‘Gentleman’ tweet on their official account on social media.

“A ‘Gentleman’ is a Gentleman, always and everywhere,” the tweet read along with the contents of the picture which were, “How to be a great player? On Field: Maximum Score; Off Field: Maximum Respect for Women.” Both the cricketer’s image has taken a severe hit over the last few days even as Team India also distanced themselves from the duo with the captain Virat Kohli saying that the team doesn’t support their opinions.

Here’s the tweet:

What has happened?

Before Australia tour, both Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul shot an episode for Koffee with Karan which is hosted by the prominent Bollywood producer Karan Johar. It was a much-awaited episode for the fans as well with the promos being an absolute hit. But very few must have imagined what was going to be aired. A few days ago, the episode went live on the internet and was also aired on the Television only to leave many shocked.

Hardik’s racist and sexist comments came under the scanner heavily and even Rahul was found revealing a few insights about his partying before the match. BCCI didn’t take the matter lightly and shot the show cause notice to both the cricketers. They apologised in response but to no avail as the CoA chief Vinod Rai clearly stated that he wasn’t satisfied with their statements.

At the moment, the duo is in India and has been given seven days now to justify themselves to not take any action on them. Their World Cup ambitions are also under the threat now and it remains to be seen how things unfold over the next few months.
