'My day in lockdown' - Rohit Sharma shares his whole day's routine during quarantine period

Rohit was set to lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. However, due to the extension of lockdown in the country, the possibility of the much-awaited league looks bleak.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the situation in the whole world has been quite tense in the last couple of months. The life-threatening virus has caused a global crisis and people are suggested to stay indoors in such trying times. More than 1 lakh people have died due to the pandemic and governments are trying their best to curb the spread of the novel COVID-19.

Along with human existence, the coronavirus outbreak has also put a halt to sporting activities as all tournaments have either been called off or postponed to battle the spread of the virus. Amid the quarantine period, cricketers are left with no choice but to spend their idle time on Instagram or Twitter.

Several cricketers are spending their quarantine period by conducting Twitter Q&A or Instagram live. Rohit Sharma is one such cricketer who is spending ample time on social media these days. The Indian opener has been interacting with many cricketers like Kevin Pietersen, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah on Instagram live.

Recently, Rohit also shared his daily routine and gave a glimpse of all his activities during the quarantine period. In the Instagram video titled ‘My Day in Lockdown’, Rohit Sharma shared his whole routine where he starts off with a cup of health drink and follows it up with some indoor training.

Rohit is also seen spending time with daughter Samaira and wife Ritika. Along with workout sessions, the right-hander is also seen doing a few household chores which include washing clothes and helping his wife in the kitchen. He is also spotted watching popular TV series ‘Friends’ in the video.

Rohit was set to lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. However, due to the extension of lockdown in the country, the possibility of the much-awaited league looks bleak. BCCI has postponed IPL 2020 indefinitely to tackle the pandemic.

A few days ago, Rohit had also interacted with Yuzvendra Chahal where he had revealed that household chores have now become an integral part of the Mumbaikar’s life.

“I am trying my best to do household chores. I was talking to Kevin Pietersen about this. He messaged me at 12, I replied at 1:30. He asked me what was keeping me busy for 1 and a half hours during a lockdown. I told him I was cleaning the house,” Rohit had said.

“We don’t get such chances and I am learning how to get it done. This has become my fitness (routine) now. Running behind Samaira in the house,” he had added.
