Lower Order: Luke Ronchi (wk), Corey Anderson, Daniel Vettori

Reserve: Bradley John Watling (wk), James Neesham, Nathan McCullum

The lower middle order will be filled by Luke Ronchi, who will also don the keeping gloves during the World Cup; Corey Anderson, the hard-hitting batsman and their former-captain and an experienced all-rounder Daniel Vettori. Luke Ronchi has tried to showcase his skills during the recently concluded series against South Africa at home, where he single-handly fought and built partnerships with the tail to save the humiliation. The Kiwis will expect fire-works from Corey Anderson late in the innings, who can clear the boundaries at will. Apart from that, they also have the experience Daniel Vettori, who can bat sensibly and has driven the team out of crisis many times in the past.(also read SA’s Probable Squad for WC 2015)

The reserve wicket-keeper will be Bradley John Watling as Brendon McCullum has given up his gloves due to a back problem and the 4th all-rounder in the squad will be James Neesham, as the selectors won’t risk him trying at the top order again. Nathan McCullum will make it to the squad and he may fill the shoes of Daniel Vettori, if required, during the course of the tournament.
