Shah Rukh Khan wants to play a role of a star Indian cricketer on silver screen

Shah Rukh Khan is the Bollywood heartthrob and is known for his exceptional acting skills on the silver screen during his illustrious career. He is still at the top of the list of every filmmaker and is being lauded for his role of Bauua Singh in the recently released film Zero. Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif have shared the screen space with him in the movie and they also have fared decently.

Even the Indian captain Virat Kohli has liked the movie as he watched it in Melbourne ahead of the third Test against Australia. He especially lauded Anushka, his wife’s performance who has played the role of a physically challenged scientist.

In the meantime, in an interview with Times Now, Shah Rukh Khan has revealed that he would like to play Virat Kohli’s role on the screen if given an opportunity. He also claimed of looking like the Indian skipper when his co-star Anushka suggested the superstar grow a beard like her husband.

Who will be Anushka then?

“Virat”, Shah Rukh Khan instantly replied when he was asked which cricketer would he like to play on screen to which Anushka Sharma had a laugh and replied, “But you will have to grow a beard.” Known for his wittiest replies, Shah Rukh was quick to claim that he looked like Virat Kohli in one of his previous films, ‘Jab Hary Met Sejal’ when Anushka was the heroine.

Also, Shah Rukh expressed that he would like to have Katrina Kaif opposite him when he plays the role of Virat as she looks exactly like Anushka. “But I had grown a beard. In Harry Met Sejal, I looked just like Virat Kohli. Exactly like him. Katrina, because she looks just like Anushka and I look just like Virat,” the Bollywood Badshah further added.
