Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh has lauded Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma's batting, stating there is no greater player than him. Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai currently sit in the seventh place in the IPL 2023 points table with six points after winning three of their six games. To remain in IPL 2023 playoff contention, the five-time IPL champions must make the most of their upcoming games.

While asked which of two Indian batting stalwarts, Rohit Sharma or Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he would prefer, Harbhajan Singh chose the India skipper. The 42-year-old also emphasised how both batters can perform and who was more dangerous in which situation in the game.

While speaking to Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh picked Rohit over Dhoni, stating that Rohit is a difficult person to bowl to. The 42-year-old also said that he didn't bowl much against the former India skipper because he mostly batted after his spell ended. He went on to say that whenever he bowled at Dhoni, he was able to dismiss him. He did admit, however, that the wicketkeeper-batter is more dangerous in the last three overs.

“Rohit Sharma, any day, any time. Very difficult batsman to bowl to. I didn’t bowl a lot against Mahendra Singh Dhoni because by the time he came in to bat my spell was almost over. But no matter how much I’ve bowled, got him dismissed as well, in the last three overs of the game, he was a very dangerous player. But most of my overs were done by that time," Harbhajan Singh told Star Sports.

Rohit is a class player in terms of batting skill: Harbhajan

Harbhajan went on to say that Rohit had a significant impact because he is a world-class batter. He also said that Dhoni was one of the most dangerous players in the game when he came in to bat in the death overs. He added that if Rohit bats from start to finish, there is no greater player than him.

"But Rohit Sharma, if we are talking overall, had a very big impact, a class player in terms of batting skill. Dhoni used to be a one of the most dangerous players in the game when he used to come in at the end as a finisher, but if Rohit bats from the beginning to the end, then there is no better player than him," he added.
