IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – KKR vs RR, Match 53

Ajinkya Rahane hung onto a stunning catch to end Vaibhav Suryavanshi's innings during Match 53 of IPL 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, May 4. It was yet another two-ball innings for the 14-year-old left-handed batter.

Suryavanshi top-edged a 127 kph outswinger around the fifth stump channel and ended up miscuing the pull. It seemed as if the ball would land safely however, Rahane charged back from midwicket to take a low catch in front while tracking the ball above his shoulder.

Earlier in the evening, KKR posted 206/4 in their 20-over quota. Skipper Rahane contributed 30 off 24 while Andre Russell emerged as the top-scorer with a dazzling 25-ball 57.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz (35 off 25) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44 off 31) contributed significantly too while Rinku Singh ended up unbeaten on 19 off six. Jofra Archer (1/30 in four overs) and Riyan Parag (1/21 in three overs) were the standout bowlers for RR.
