Star Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj was seen breaking down and crying after losing the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. Pat Cummins-led Australia outclassed the Indian team in the World Cup final. Aiming to chase down a target of 241 runs, it was the knocks of Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne that propelled the Aussies to a win and their sixth World Cup title.

The Indian team got off to a good start to the second innings, taking three early wickets, dismissing David Warner, Steve Smith, and Mitchell Marsh. However, Head and Labuschagne built a solid partnership, and the Aussies lost just a single wicket after that in the run chase.

After the heartbreaking loss, several Indian players were left distraught as many stars like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were on the verge of tears. However, Mohammed Siraj could not hold it back and was seen visibly crying after losing the final.

Indian bowlers put in a brilliant showing throughout the World Cup

The Indian bowling attack was at its peak throughout the ODI World Cup 2023, the likes of Mohammed Shami, Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja put in excellent performances throughout the tournament and were some of the highest wicket-takers. It is worth noting that the fiery pacer ended the tournament as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, taking 24 wickets in seven matches.

Shami’s performance in the semi-final of the competition was one for the ages as well, where the star pacer took seven wickets and propelled team India to the summit clash of the tournament. Furthermore, Shami also looked dangerous against the 'Men in Yellow' in the World Cup final. But unfortunately, it was not enough as the Men in Blue were defeated by Australia.
