Rajasthan Royals (RR) star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal recently dropped a cryptic post on his social media following the conclusion of IPL 2025, triggering speculation about his potential exit from the franchise. 

This message came shortly after the Royals ended their campaign with a win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), chasing down 188 with six wickets and 17 balls to spare at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Jaiswal contributed with a 36 off 19 balls, stitching a 37-run opening stand with Vaibhav Suryavanshi. In his post, he mentioned his journey with the franchise and thanked them for the opportunities. He also awaits the next challenge in front of him.

"Thank you, Rajasthan Royals, for everything. Not the season we hoped for, but continue to be grateful for our journey together. On to the next challenge 🇮🇳 and whatever the future brings YBJ 64," he wrote on his Instagram post.

The Southpaw, who was picked by RR for INR 2.40 crore in 2020, has gone on to become the league’s most consistent and dependable opener. In the IPL 2025 season, he finished as Rajasthan's top run-scorer with 559 runs from 14 matches, averaging 43.00 with a strike rate of 159.71.

In the six seasons played, he has managed to hammer 2,166 runs in 67 IPL matches at a strike rate of 152.85, including 15 half-centuries and two centuries. His performances also led him to a spot in the Indian team across all formats.

Notably, he was the second-highest run-scorer in Tests in 2024 and is now preparing for his first Test tour of England. Meanwhile, Jaiswal had also considered moving from Mumbai to Goa in domestic cricket before eventually deciding to continue with Mumbai.
