An AI-generated video of batting great Virat Kohli downgrading Shubman Gill’s batting ability has left the fanatics confused while raising alarms about the misuse of AI. Notably, the Indian cricket fans term Kohli as the "King" and the batter has been the apple of the eye of fans across the globe. Following his footsteps, Shubman Gill has shown promise as the next potential batting sensation of India and the admirers have termed him as the "Prince". 

The star India batter was in conversation with Graham Bensinger and had talked in depth about the sport, life, and fitness. A snippet of Kohli's conversation has been tweaked with the help of Artificial Intelligence to misguide the viewers. For the unversed, AI could be used to replicate the voice of an individual with a stark resemblance and can even swap faces. Due to this feature, several videos of prominent figures singing and dancing have gone viral that are AI-driven.

mOn the cricket front, India will be taking on Bangladesh in the two-match Test series commencing on September 19. Prior to the impending series, star India cricketers such as Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will feature in the Duleep Trophy. India captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah have opted out. Moreover, Bumrah was voluntarily rested for the domestic series by the management citing workload issues.

“India has played 249 international matches in the last 5 years. Rohit has played only 59% of those. Virat 61 % & Bumrah 34%. I see them as well-rested India players. Could have been selected for the Duleep trophy,” former cricketer, Sanjay Manjrekar condemned resting Bumrah on his X account.
