Sonny Bill Williams, David Warner and Candice staying in the same hotel

The Test series between Australia and South Africa is currently underway and the first couple of games have been a witness to some severe altercations. David Warner’s heated exchange of words with Quinton de Kock recently hogged the headlines. The South African wicketkeeper-batsman has been alleged to have hurled lewd comments against Candice Warner.

The comments made the Australian opener furious after which he barged into de Kock inside the dressing room. The Proteas cricketer is said to have commented about Candice’s toilet romance ten years ago with Sonny Bill Williams, a New Zealand rugby player, which sparked the controversy. Subsequently, Warner has been docked 75 percent of his match-fees while de Kock has been fined 25 percent.

Recently, Williams was put up in the same hotel in Cape Town where Candice and David were staying. As per reports in Daily Telegraph, all three are currently in the Southern Sun The Cullinan hotel. Bill Williams is in the city with the Blues for their Super Rugby encounter with the Stormers on Saturday.

Apart from the Proteas cricketer, a couple of officials of Cricket South Africa also faced punishment. Clive Eksteen and Altaaf Kazi posed with three fans who donned Williams’ mask and were subsequently sacked. Meanwhile, chances of the three facing each other can’t be ruled out by any stretch of the imagination.

Australia won the opening game at the Kingsmead in Durban. However, South Africa stormed back and humbled Steve Smith’s men comprehensively in Port Elizabeth. The on-field exchanges and some riveting cricket have spiced up the series to a large extent. It will now be interesting to see how the third Test the Newlands in Cape Town pans out.
