The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to begin on June 12 in England, with the final scheduled for July 5 at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. The tournament remains one of the biggest stages in women’s cricket, featuring top international teams competing for global glory.
For the 2026 edition, the competition has expanded to 12 teams, highlighting the rapid growth of the women’s game. Qualification includes automatic berths for higher-ranked teams, while others earn their place through the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.
The 12 teams have been divided into two groups of six. Each team will play the others in their group once in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals. The winners of the two semi-finals will then advance to the final to battle for the prestigious title.
The hosts England Women will kick off the tournament against Sri Lanka Women in Birmingham on June 12. Meanwhile, six-time champions Australia Women will begin their campaign against South Africa Women on June 13 in Manchester, setting the stage for an exciting tournament
