Top 10 batsmen with most ODI runs going into the World Cup 2015: With the retirements of Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting in 2012, the players with most runs in One Day matches have been mostly from Sri Lanka. With some new names in the list, the 2015 World cup will see some surprises in terms of new entries and improvements in the most runs in ODI list. 10. Dilshan was part of the team in the 2007 and 2011 World cup finals which Sri Lanka lost. He would definitely want to win this time and end his career on a high note. 2. He captained Sri Lanka in the heart breaking 2011 World Cup campaign where Sri Lanka lost to India in the finals at the Wankhede stadium. Kumar Sangakkara will also enter the tournament with 991 runs to his name in the World cups. Apart from this, he will also complete his 400th ODI during the tournament making him part of an elusive club.
