Backlash from UP Police

Following his tweet, a police officer Rahul Srivastav gave Sehwag a fitting reply. He asked the former cricketer to dial either @up100 or @Uppolice if he faces any gossip monger.

However, Sehwag didn’t stretch the conversation with Srivastav. It is understood that Sehwag doesn’t want to get involved in another controversy. The cop, Rahul Shrivastav is Additional Superintendent of Police and is the public relations officer at the Director General of Police HQ.

Meanwhile, India won the final of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand by a 2-1 margin. In the final ODI at Kanpur, they handed New Zealand a seven runs defeat in a tightly fought match. India batting first piled up 337 runs for six wickets. New Zealand, in reply, got off to a good start as Colin Munro and skipper Kane Williamson built a 109 runs second wicket partnership.

However, following veteran Ross Taylor’s departure, the Black Caps suffered a big collapse as Indian pacemen Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did an outstanding job bowling a superb spell at the death overs which restricted New Zealand to reach home. Finally, they fell short of seven runs which dented their first real chance of winning an ODI series in India.
